This Mechanic works on the fleet of vehicles in Via’s maintenance department at the Boulder location. In this role you will perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of Gillig Diesel and Fully Electric Transit Buses

The Diesel Mechanic works on the fleet of vehicles in Via’s maintenance department at the Boulder location. In this role you will perform vehicle tune-ups, natural gas repairs, electrical repairs, heating and air conditioning repairs, as well as wheelchair lift adjustments and repairs.

We have 1 full-time opening out of our Boulder Office:

Hours will be Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

The starting pay range for the role is $38-$45 per hour depending on experience

Start today and earn a hiring bonus- $2,500 after 60 days and another $2,500 after 6 months.

Qualifications for Diesel Mechanic:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • 10+ years of mechanical experience in Diesel repair.
  • Will consider Associates Degree in automotive Technology and 5+ years of mechanic experience in lieu of 10+ years’ experience.
  • Must obtain ASE Master Certification (8 ASE) within 1 year of employment. (We will help you get these!)
  • Must have or obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment.
  • Possess experience in all phases of vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong background in diagnostics.
  • Possess a Driver's License that has been continually valid for at least the past two (2) years.
  • Must pass and maintain DOT physical, random drug testing, and ongoing Motor Vehicle Records checks.
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position.
  • Must possess own tools.
